Description
The championship course designed by renowned English architect Keith Preston was inaugurated in 2009. Within sight of Prague, an eighteen hole course has been created that bears comparison with the best courses of its type in continental Europe. Its quality and difficulty of play has been tested by the likes of Ernie Els, Pádraig Harrington, John Daly, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Danny Willett, Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald and Rory Sabbatini in the DP World Tour tournaments.
The first top European League tournaments were held here between 2014 and 2023. However, Albatross passed its first stern test just two years after opening, when it hosted two Ladies European Tour tournaments in 2011 and 2012.
One of the best courses in the Czech Republic, it has five sets of tees, with the black (so-called pro) measuring an impressive 6792 metres, and the ladies red measuring 5,031 metres. It is thus a challenge for all categories of players and its difficulty can be set by each golfer. Its strengths are its variety and, above all, the quality of the playing surfaces, which are maintained all year round. This is also why the resort was rightly included in the prestigious Golf World TOP 100 Golf Courses Continental Europe list in 2019.
